Product Description

      The Customs Union is a trade and economic agreement between Russia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan, based on which the members of the Union unite associate in a unified customs territory.
     A unified customs tariff and other common measures of trade between member countries are applied within the territory of the Customs Union.
     Issuing a Certificate of Conformity of the Customs Union, certification authorities certify conformity of released products to the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union.
     Product requirements within the Customs Union are included in the Uniform List of Products approved by Resolution No. **9 dated June *8, ***0 of the Customs Union Commission. To use the Uniform List one should know product names and codes of the Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activities of the Customs Union.
     A Certificate of Conformity of the Customs Union can be issued for up to five years. The form of the certificate was adopted on March 2, ***1 by Resolution No. **3 of the Customs Union Commission.
     To obtain a certificate of the Customs Union one should apply to certified authorities with a package of required documents. Resolution No. **7 of the Customs Union Commission dated January *8, ***1 established a uniform register of certification authorities and testing laboratories authorized to validate conformity.
     Should products pass a conformity registration procedure with a CU member, or should identical requirements, confirmation forms and research methods be established for such products, the commodities will be allowed to circulate within the Unified Customs Territory of the CU countries.
